Counseling for Families, Couples & Individuals

Our counseling and psychotherapeutic services provide access to affordable, long-term therapy to the communities in Southern Maryland, including families and couples seeking help for relational problems.  Age range spans the lifespan.  Our youngest consumers are around 5 years old- and our oldest are in their 80s!

Pathways at Patuxent

Pathways Mental Health services are available to Patuxent High School Students!  We will be exploring mental health well-being through assemblies as well as:

• On site therapists

• Group therapy sessions

• Individual therapy sessions

Adult Therapy Groups

We offer a variety of therapeutic treatment groups.  Topics include coping with a specific mental diagnosis or barrier, trauma, relationships problems, parenting topics, and topics connected to diversity, stigma, and inequity.  We also offer mindfulness and stress management groups, a chair yoga group in our Day Program, as well as anger management groups. Other groups are more informational and supportive, discussing medication issues and mental illness awareness.  New groups will also be initiated from time to time to respond to the needs of our growing community. Please call us if you are interested in a group or would like more information- or have a great new idea for a new group!

Services for Co-occurring Disorders

These services provide treatment in an outpatient setting for consumers struggling with substance use while also having been diagnosed with a mental health diagnosis.  Please check back for the exciting start of our outpatient Substance Use program coming soon!

Services to individuals with a Persistent Mental Illness

We are dedicated to serving persons with a serious and persistent mental illness in the community. The programming is integrated with our Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program to support the individual not just clinically, but with mobile visits to the home, work site, or anywhere else of preference to the client. Housing and job placement are available as well. The goal of this effort is recovery.
